Scott D. Smith, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Scott Smith wants your child to have a great dental experience. He focuses on the well being of his patients' psyche as well as their oral health because he recognizes that children's dental experiences can shape their oral health and outlook on dentistry and medicine for the rest of their lives. Dr. Scott loves being a pediatric dentist and he practices with compassion and with a total commitment to making your child’s dental experience positive.
Motivated by the desire to ensure a better experience from his patients that than of their parents’ generation, Dr. Scott prefers a balanced approach, and for him, pediatric dentistry provides the perfect balance of kids, families, medicine, and art.
He uses his thoughtfulness, sense of humor, and an occasional magic trick to connect with his patients and provide a pleasant and healthy dental experience. He takes time to talk to your children, to ask them about their lives and interests, and to find out what they love to do.
Dr. Scott’s goal is to eventually graduate your child from Southmoor Pediatric Dentistry with no cavities and with the attitude that dentistry is more than just okay. One patient thinks Dr. Scott is doing such a good job that she recently paid for his ice cream when he came in while she was working at an ice cream shop. She insisted on buying his ice cream because she wanted Dr. Scott to feel as welcome where she worked as he makes her feel when she comes into the dental office.
Dr. Scott and his wife have three sons and have lived in Denver since 1988. The Smith family loves skiing, biking, and running. When not in the office, Dr. Scott can be found all over town at sporting events with his family.
"All the adults make the kids, whatever the age, feel as comfortable as possible."
